Sewn Bellows
When it comes to standard sewn bellows, a great variety of materials can be shaped to almost any size and configuration with this highly flexible process. The greatest possible maximum-minimum ratios occur and this bellows type is readily adaptable for use with various types of ends, grommets, internal guides, stiffeners, tie strips, etc.
Standard Construction involves no tooling costs and is economical, even in low quantity lots. Standard covers are sewn with nylon or kevlar thread. In severe applications, a liquid elastomer coating can be added for greater life. A sewn cover is not air or water tight but still provides protection against environments where dust, dirt and other contaminants are a concern.
